Licensed Builder

Builders must provide Home Warranty Insurance to their clients. The main requirements vary from State to State but builders need to gain Eligibility from approved Insurers to get access to this insurance.

Important points of Licensed Builder Insurance:

  • Provides cover for the builders failure to complete his contract (limited cover);
  • Provides cover for building defects;
  • Designed to protect the owner, not the builder; and
  • Policy only responds in the event of death, disappearance or insolvency of the builder.
